The first two months of operation this building used zero therms for domestic hot water.

​SYSTEM IN BROOKLYN, NY. DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SPACE HEATING AS WELL AS HOT WATER FOR DOMESTIC USE:

​This was the collector temperature at 11:20 AM January  9, 2012. The advantage of evacuated tube hot water collectors is clear.
System is designed to provide space heating assistance in the winter. With the proper planning and the intelligent use of low temperature components such as radiant slab heating and  low temperature radiators,a significant portion of  the heating requirements of a home can be met.

Our records show that in the coldest day of the winter on a sunny day we were able to heat this well insulated home during the daylight hours. The temperature on that day was 13 F.
